What is DAP (Delivered at Place)?
A globally recognized Incoterm where the seller delivers the goods and the buyer manages import fees and clearance.
Delivered at Place (DAP) is an international shipping term (Incoterm) that defines how costs and responsibilities are shared between the seller and the buyer during a global shipment.
Under a DAP agreement, Fusion Worldwide is responsible for arranging and paying for transportation to the agreed delivery location. This includes freight, handling, and the risk of the shipment until it arrives at the specified destination.
Once the shipment reaches the destination, the buyer becomes responsible for import duties, taxes, customs clearance, and any local charges required to release the goods.
Why DAP matters for your order
DAP helps create clarity and predictability in international sourcing. Customers know that Fusion manages the logistics and delivery process, while they maintain control over customs and local compliance requirements in their region. This structure can reduce shipping complexity while ensuring buyers remain aligned with their own import processes and regulations.
